01. PORTO JOFRE

Porto Jofre is a small town located in the Pantanal region of Mato Grosso, Brazil.   • DAY 1: Arrival Day to Cuiabá


    After a long trip from home, you will arrive in downtown Cuiabá and check in to the Amazon Hotel. You can spend the evening relaxing so you are well-rested for an early start the following morning.

    DAY 2: Transfer Cuiaba - Porto Joffre

    Driving from Cuiabá to Porto Jofre covers around 245 km (152 miles) and is a famous wildlife drive in South America. You start on a city highway and end up in the middle of Brazil's wild nature. Plan on a 5 to 7 hour journey—it depends on the weather, how rough the road is, and how often you pull over to look at the animals.

    DAY 3-4-5-6 Full day Jaguar Boat Safari

    You will spend 4 full days exploring the Cuiabá River, which is the most famous spot in the Pantanal for seeing jaguars in the wild. Every day, you will head out on a boat to search the riverbanks for jaguars and plenty of other amazing animals like caimans, tapirs, jabiru storks, kingfishers, capybaras, and much more. To make the most of your time on the water, you will bring a packed lunch with you so you don't have to head back to the lodge in the middle of the day.

    DAY 7 : Half Day Jaguar Boat Safari and Transfer to Pocone area

    On your final day along the Cuiabá River, you will enjoy a half-day boat safari before heading back to the lodge to check out. Afterward, you will travel to your next hotel located near the exit of the Transpantaneira road. This new area gives you the chance to focus on a different variety of wildlife, such as curassows, hyacinth macaws, toco toucans, giant anteaters, crab-eating foxes, monkeys, and many more.

    DAY 8: Safari trip by vehicles

    On your last full day in the Pantanal, the focus shifts to spotting new species, such as giant anteaters, burrowing owls, macaws, and toucans. You will visit neighboring private properties to explore different habitats, as well as search the grounds around your hotel, which is also a fantastic spot to find local wildlife.

    DAY 9 : Back to Hotel near Aiport

    We will spend our last morning taking photos around the lodge before packing up. After lunch, we will make the 2-hour drive back to Cuiabá, where we will enjoy our farewell dinner together.

    DAY 10: FLY HOME

    Prepare for your journey back home, reflecting on the incredible wildlife encounters and unforgettable experiences during your stay.
